I’m proud to be standing as a candidate for our District Council. I’m not a career politician — I’m a retired engineer, did some time in the papermill, then worked in the luxury boating industry and later as a CNC developer and programmer.
I’ve lived in this community since the late 1970s, with a break in Whangārei, and returned home in 2019. Over the years, I’ve seen our district grow and change — and now I want to help shape its future for the better.
I believe our council needs to focus on the essentials that matter most to residents:
✅ Infrastructure – We need reliable roads, water, and stormwater systems, with smart long-term planning and investment.
✅ Responsible Spending – Every rates dollar must be used wisely. We should prioritise essentials, not luxuries.
✅ Community Engagement – Council must listen, be accessible, and put community voices at the heart of decision-making.
I want our community to be more than just a good place to live — I want it to be a great place to:
Work – where local businesses thrive.
Raise a family – with opportunities for our young people.
Retire in dignity – where older residents feel safe and supported.
Together, we can build a district that is stronger, more connected, and more resilient for the future.
This election isn’t just about me — it’s about all of us. It’s about electing councillors who will listen, engage, and make the hard decisions that count.
I’m asking for your support. I’m asking for your vote.
Vote Frank McIsaac for District Council — and let’s focus on what truly matters.
